Sports events calendar and international conferences

A number of sporting calendars and listings of Australian and International conferences are available online, compiled by the National Sport Information Centre.

Coaching/Officiating courses directory

This course directory, named the Australian Sport & Recreation Courses Database, provides you with any course in sport and recreation organised in Australia.

To look for information on coaching and officiating courses, simply select ‘Coaching’ or 'Officiating' from the subject drop down list, and put in which area you prefer to take the course, the search result will give you all coaching courses available on the directory in the area you specified.

If you want to look specifically for NCAS or NOAS courses, put in the title of course e.g "General Principles of Coaching".

Go to the Australian Sport & Recreation Courses Database and search now.

Online courses

The Australian Sports Commission  have brought coaches on-line! We now have some courses available on-line with a view to allowing coaches to access all courses via the internet.

Sessions are streamed through the internet so that students receive exactly the same material that a person sitting in the classroom or in a videoconference with a trainer would receive.

The current on-line courses are:

  • Level 2 Coaching Course - General Principles

Students can access live demonstrations of activities, a variety of presenters, video footage, PowerPoint slides, demonstrations, discussion forums and more - all in a self-paced, interactive manner on the student's own PC.
